RANCH ORGANIC COTTON PREORDER UPDATE

YEE HAW! Ranch Fabric Swatches Have Arrived.

Our first batch of Ranch strike-offs has officially arrived!

These are the first fabric print samples from the preorder collection, and this is one of the most important moments in the process. Your feedback truly helps shape what moves forward into production.

Refresher: What’s a Strike-Off?

Strike-offs are print tests on fabric that allow us to review scale, color, and overall aesthetic before full production begins.

This is where we fine-tune the details — and where your input makes a real difference.

We Need Your Help 🖤

If you participated in this preorder, we’d love for you to weigh in.

Simply drop a comment on this post with any thoughts, callouts, or questions.

Scale & Color Review

To help you visualize scale, we’ve photographed each strike-off next to a 18-24 month dress.

If you ordered during this preorder, please share feedback on any prints you have opinions about. Every comment will be considered as we determine next steps.

In this first group, we do have some scale options on a couple below to weigh in on.

A Few Notes While Viewing:

  • Photos were taken in our office under artificial lighting and are not color corrected.
  • These print designs and colorways were selected through community voting during the preorder process.
  • Some colors may read slightly off due to lighting and phone photography, but the underlying print files remain consistent with our approved artwork.
  • If you’re unsure about a color — ask! We’re happy to clarify.

What Happens Next?

After we gather feedback, each strike-off will be:

  • APPROVED — cleared to move forward into production
  • REJECTED — adjustments requested and a new strike-off submitted

This is exactly where customer feedback helps us get things right.

If, during review, we feel it would be helpful to see a full physical sample, we’ll share updates here on the blog.

Behind the Scenes: Production Updates

·       We’ve also completed final trim checks with our preorder team based on units sold vs. ordered.

·       A few style standard updates have been communicated to the factory

·       Prototypes have been requested where needed

Collection Reminder

  • Solids: Wide Rib and Gauze
  • Prints: Jersey, Interlock and Gauze

Important Timing

We’ll be collecting comments through Thursday, 3.19.26 at 10:00 AM PST to give everyone time to weigh in.

After that, we’ll finalize approvals and move into the next stage of production.

Thank you for helping us make this collection the best it can be. Your feedback truly matters — and we can’t wait to see photos of your little ones in these looks!

Large scale blue dahlia. It was stated on the preorder post that they’d be the larger OG scale. We’ve had the smaller scale already in 2024 and I know many of us who ordered that print are hoping for the OG large ones.

Something is wayyyy off with cactus floral. Like someone stated above there’s almost too much wrong with it to list. Quick rundown though- the actual print itself is missing a ton of detail from the OG- I’m talking like actual needles on the cacti themselves. You’re missing the purple in the flower and all the beautiful line details in the petals, variations between the light pink of the flower and the purple. The coloring is also very off and looks similar to the 2023 preorder version. This is a very pastel, soft print and right now it’s very coral and bright.

I didn’t order mauve retro but I will say the color is very off as well.

The cornflower wallpaper looks a smidge darker than the original gauze and bamboo version. I think the wallpaper print itself is more of a lighter baby blue versus the 2022 bamboo ranch version.

    Large scale Dahlias 100%

The purple in all of the purple prints looks a bit off… lavender horses needs to be toned down. The horses are too dark. Lavender wildflower doesn’t look right… like not as vibrant as it should be? Not as big as it should be either.

The cactus floral looks much brighter than the original / photos in the preorder. I ordered expecting soft, pastel colors, especially a soft rose color; not the coral color shown here. I’m really hoping the colors can be changed to be the more muted, pastels shown in the pre-order.

Shana, are you able to drop off at the outlet with Allison, Leah or Aline and leave your contact information so we can get back with you to get them back or if we need for the factory, are you able to part with them?

  • Chelsey

Also, mauve retro flora and cactus flower are off. Cactus flower should be much more muted
