Production + Preorder Updates
Production & Preorder Updates
First, thank you for your continued patience and feedback. We understand that communication preferences can vary widely within the community. Some customers prefer highly detailed production explanations, while others prefer shorter, simplified updates. We also know preorder updates are important and it is an evolving process that we want to thank you for being a part of. We want the feedback, whether it is positive or “negative”.

NOTE: Above image is not edited for color corrections and the lighting is not ideal. We will try to do a quick video tomorrow on FB so you can see that way.
Communication Updates
To help streamline updates and make information easier to find:
- The blog will primarily be used for preorder and production-related updates.
- The VIP Facebook group may occasionally be used for quick polls or time-sensitive feedback requests.
- Weekly pinned posts for in-stock and non-preorder items will continue to be updated and re-pinned with the current date.
Delivery Windows & Timeline Expectations
- We’ve heard feedback from customers requesting more realistic “worst case” timeline expectations upfront. Moving forward, we will be building additional padding into preorder estimates to better account for unexpected production, testing, shipping, or customs delays that can arise throughout the process.
- The original delivery dates and event information will remain the same at the footer of the homepage. This will not be updated.
- Delivery updates will be posted monthly in the VIP facebook group and pinned.
Some of the most common factors that can impact preorder production timelines include:
- Orders containing multiple fabric types. Different fabrics often require different mills, dye processes, printing schedules, and processing timelines, which can affect how quickly all components of an order are completed together.
- Collections with multiple styles, limited colorways, or specialty trims. These production runs require additional factory setup, machine adjustments, sourcing coordination, and workflow changes, which can increase production complexity.
- Print and color matching approvals. Recreating past prints or matching previous production runs as closely as possible may require multiple strike-off revisions and approval rounds before production can move forward.
- Fabric usage adjustments and replenishment needs. In some cases, additional fabric may need to be reordered due to quality rejections, revised production quantities, or manufacturing variances identified during production.
- Quality control reviews and rejections. All products go through multiple quality checkpoints both at the factory and internally. If an item does not meet standards, corrections or rework may be required before shipment approval.
- Production schedule reassessments. Occasionally, timelines may need to be reevaluated to help ensure products remain seasonally appropriate and meet overall production standards.
- Third-party product testing. Products undergo required safety and compliance testing through certified third-party laboratories. Depending on the collection and testing requirements, this process can take several weeks and must be completed before shipment release.
- International shipping and logistics delays. Cargo availability, customs processing, and international freight conditions can all impact transit timelines. Current global shipping conditions continue to create longer and less predictable transit windows than in previous years.
- Factory and holiday closures. Production schedules can also be affected by regional holidays, temporary shutdowns, and operational slowdowns that vary by country and manufacturing partner.
While we work closely with our factory and logistics partners to minimize delays wherever possible, preorder production involves many moving parts across multiple teams, vendors, and international processes. These are some of the most common factors that can affect timelines throughout production and fulfillment.
Terminology
We wanted to provide some additional context around a few terms that we having been using and appear in both preorders and standard collections.
- In Production – This indicates that items are actively moving through one or more stages of manufacturing. When available, we may also provide more detailed stage updates such as In Cutting, In Dyeing, In Stitching, or In Packing.
- In Testing – This generally means production is nearing completion and items are progressing through final stages such as quality control, tagging, packing, and required testing approvals prior to shipment release.
- Processing to Ship – This means items are in final preparation stages prior to shipment. Depending on the timing, this may refer to export preparation overseas, warehouse intake processing, or fulfillment preparation before customer orders begin shipping.
-
Shipping As Early As – This reflects the earliest projected timeframe we expect orders to begin shipping based on the most current information available at that time. This terminology may apply to both preorder and standard collection updates. Because fulfillment timing can vary based on order composition, arrival timing, inventory processing, and shipping flow, some customers may receive tracking earlier than others. As additional information becomes available, projected timelines may also be updated accordingly.
FEEDBACK REQUESTED - If there are additional terms you would like us to clarify please drop them in the comments.
Our Process
A lot goes into every collection before it reaches customers. From print development and fabric production to testing, international shipping, warehouse processing, and fulfillment, each collection moves through dozens of steps behind the scenes.
With so many stages involved, delays can occasionally happen throughout production and logistics. Even small adjustments or timing changes in one area can sometimes affect later stages of the process.
Here’s a simplified overview of what the process can look like:
Design & Development
- Swatch pages and collection concepts are finalized
- Print artwork files are prepared and sent to factories
- Factories create initial strike-offs and color samples
- Styles, assortments, and collection details are finalized internally
- Purchase orders and invoices are reviewed and approved
- Tech packs and prototypes are created for new or revised styles
- Strike-offs, lab dips, and samples go through review and approval rounds
- Revised samples may be requested if adjustments are needed
Fabric & Production
- Fabric yarns are processed, dyed, dried, and quality checked
- Printed fabrics go through additional processing and QC stages
- Approved fabric is transported to the production factory
- Fabric enters production queues for cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing
- Machines are configured for specific styles, fabrics, and colorways
- Garments are stitched, labeled, pressed, folded, tagged, and inspected
- Packaging is completed largely by hand
- Barcoding, documentation, inventory checks, and packing lists are finalized
Testing & Shipment Preparation
- Required third-party testing and safety approvals are completed
- Final shipment approvals are issued
- Carrier space is booked and export paperwork is prepared
- Shipments move through international transit and customs processing
- Cargo may move through multiple terminals, warehouses, and inspection queues before release
Warehouse & Fulfillment
- Shipments arrive at the warehouse
- Inventory is unloaded, verified, and processed into the system
- Orders begin fulfillment preparation
- Shipping starts as quickly as possible once processing is complete
- We know preorder timelines and production updates can sometimes be frustrating, especially when timelines shift or information changes throughout the process. At the same time, we truly appreciate the feedback, questions, and continued involvement from this community. Many of the improvements we’ve made over the years, both in products and communication, have come directly from customer feedback and participation.
Our goal is to continue providing better visibility into production while also balancing accuracy, timing, and the realities of large-scale manufacturing and logistics. We may not always get every estimate or update perfect, but we are continually working to improve processes, communication, and overall customer experience with every collection.
Thank you again for your patience, support, and continued enthusiasm for these launches. We appreciate it more than you know.
CURRENT PREORDER STATUS
CALIFORNIA
Original Estimated Processing Start: Week of May 20, 2026
UPDATE: We have received samples from actual production for final approval and photography. We are getting closer! This means it is nearing the end of factory processing and is also in testing. We recently received production samples for final internal review and photography, which is an important milestone before shipment release.
Our design team has not yet had a chance to fully review the samples as they arrived yesterday, but they are under review. We will begin shooting them Friday 5/29 at the latest and loading them to the website once they are edited. By next week you will be able to login and see your order images updating!
Right now, we are splitting the collection to ship in different parts. The first part is currently prebooked for 6/08.
If you do not receive tracking information for your preorder by the end of the day on 6/19/2026, you may request cancellation for a refund to your original form of payment.
SPOOKY
Original Estimated Start shipping to Customers: June 1, 2026
UPDATE: All currently required approvals on our side have been completed, and the collection continues progressing through production. We are currently waiting for additional factory-side production updates and will continue sharing more detailed information as it becomes available.
Due to California production sliding the new estimated start processing date is 6/22/26. We will continue updating you as we know more.
RANCH
Original Estimated Start shipping to Customers: June 8, 2026
UPDATE: GREAT NEWS! We just got off a call this morning confirming that more strike-offs shop be available to view tomorrow for Ranch, Cactus Flower, Highland Cow, Horses, and Cornflower Folk Wallpaper.
Currently, we do expect Ranch production timelines to extend approximately 2–3 additional weeks beyond the original estimate. A large part of this delay has been tied to the additional time spent revising and reviewing strike-offs to ensure prints and colors match original artwork and previous coordinating designs as closely as possible before full production moves forward.
The estimated new start shipping to customers date is the week of 6/29/26.
HOLIDAY
Current Estimated Start shipping to Customers: Week of August 3, 2026
UPDATE: Holiday production is currently split between two factory partners, with sweaters being produced separately from the remaining apparel items. Both portions are progressing through production and strike-offs have been approved. Knitwear follows a different manufacturing process, those items do not require strike-offs in the same way printed fabrics do. We also recently reviewed a customer sample in-house to confirm print scale and overall development progress.

NOTE: Sweater is not for color approval, this is for scale and has been matched to a customer sample and is same scale as previous production.
We will share additional previews for this collection as production continues moving along.
FARMERS MARKET
Current Estimated Start shipping to Customers: September 15, 2026
UPDATE: Farmers Market continues moving through print development and approval stages. This collection has required multiple strike-off revisions as we work toward final print and color approvals across several designs.
We recently submitted additional customer samples to assist with print matching adjustments, and we are also reviewing a color revision for one coordinating set. Once final options are ready, we may request additional community feedback through VIP.
I do not want my shipment split. It’s not fair to do this and have it affect the cancellation date for customers.
This was super transparent and hit most of the marks! The more we know, the less room there is for negative speculation and rumors, so I’m very pleased with all of the updates. Agree with JSW as well on stage of processing being a point where we’d like just a bit more clarity on. Looking forward to all that is to come!
I like that this is transparent and it gives us a better understanding of the situation. It also helps predict what size of the clothes to pre order for me because the size changes so quickly when they are growing and the expected deadline has passed. I usually gift those items to people that have kids that age, but I hate that they don’t go to the intended person because missed deadlines. Thanks again for all your help and efforts for your customers!
Can we please get an update on when all the Price Point Sale items are now going to ship
This is great! My request would be that we get told which part of “processing to ship” the collection is in, as that general category has been approximately 3-4 weeks (or longer in some cases) so knowing where in there the products are would be reassuring.
