Little One of the Week | Dorien & Rochel
Our Little One's of the Week are Dorien & Rochel. Dorien is 2 years old and Rochel will be 10 months in a week.
Dorien's favorite things right now are musical instruments. His dad plays drums and his uncle play the guitar. Rochel's favorite things are her big brother's toys! She much prefers them over her own toys.
Dorien loves to say "What in the world!" and Rochel thinks this is hilarious!
Dorien is in the 90s percentile, so he wears size 3T right now. Rochel is tiny and still fits into some 0-3 outfits but comfortably in 6-12 with room to grow.
Reading books and playing instruments makes Dorien happy. Rochel is happiest when she get a hold of big brother's toys!
Dorien & Rochel are being taught the alphabet, numbers, months of the year, days of the week, and how to play instruments.
"We are an adoptive family. Dorien is such a light in our lives and an amazingly strong and resilient boy. At 2 years old, he’s gone through a few surgeries already and he always ends these days with a smile and the most positive attitude. He was born with an eye disorder called PFV (Persistent Fetal Vasculature), which has resulted in the retina detaching in the affected eye. He’s still in recovery from his last surgery and is excited to show off his brand new glasses. I reached out to the KQ community for prayers during Dorien’s surgeries and we are so thankful for the outpouring of love."
