California Preorder Update: Strike-Offs Are Here (and We Need Your Input!)
As promised, we want you to be part of this process every step of the way. And we’re excited to share that we’ve officially received our strike-offs for the California Collection preorder
What Are Strike-Offs?
Strike-offs are print tests on fabric that allow us to check scale, color, and overall aesthetic for the collection before moving forward with production. This is a key moment where your feedback truly helps shape the final result.
We Need Your Help (VIP Community)
We’re asking our preorder customers to weigh in, and we’ll be collecting feedback inside our VIP Facebook group.

Scale & Color Review
To help you visualize scale, we’ve photographed each strike-off next to a 3–6 month bodysuit.
Please weigh in on any print you have an opinion on — there are a few we’ll especially need your help with. Every comment matters and will be taken into consideration as we decide next steps.

Next Steps: Approvals or Rejections
Once feedback is collected, each strike-off will be either:
- APPROVED — and cleared to move forward
- REJECTED — with updates requested and a new strike-off submitted
This is exactly where community input helps us get things right.
Matching to Physical Samples
Some prints (hello, all poppies) are especially tricky. For these, we sourced physical samples to help us match color and scale as closely as possible.
Because artwork had already been submitted while we waited on those samples, some of the strike-offs clearly need adjustments — which is why this step is so important.

What Happens Next?
- We’ll review all feedback submitted in VIP
- Updated strike-offs will be requested where needed
- We’ll share those updates with you here on the blog and on VIP

Important Timing
We’ll be closing comments on the strike-off images in VIP on Friday, 1.23.26 at 11:59 PM to give everyone time to weigh in. After that, we’ll make final calls and share decisions on print direction the following week.
